The National Association of Consumer Advocates, Inc., is dedicated to giving new life and a new outlook to the promotion of justice for consumers. NACA is a not-for-profit nationwide association of attorneys who represent consumers on matters involving unlawful, fraudulent, and abusive business practices. NACA was conceived in 1992, during the First Annual Consumer Rights Litigation Conference sponsored by the National Consumer Law Center after its attorneys noted a resurgence in consumer protection cases which resulted in new levels of verdicts and settlements, in the multi-million dollar range, and held the first national conference on consumer law since the mid 1970s. We have grown from nineteen founding members to more than 1000.
From its inception, NACA has been committed to promoting justice for all consumers and to providing advocacy in consumer matters. It has a vision of advancing the consumer law movement by maintaining a forum for communication, networking, information sharing and cooperation among consumer attorneys and a goal of enhancing advocacy on consumer issues, enforcing consumer protection statutes and deterring deceptive business practices.
